Homer Fire Protection District ambulance refurb
From the Fire Service, Inc. Facebook page:
I just came across some exciting news and photos that I wanted to share with everyone! Chief Bob Tutko and the Homer Fire District in Homer Glen, Illinois recently received an incredible addition to their fleet. This ambulance, which is an older PL Custom model, underwent a full refurbishment and was mounted onto a brand-new Ford F-450 chassis. The entire transformation was expertly completed at Fire Service Inc.'s facility in St. John, Indiana.
The attention to detail and quality of work really stood out to me as I looked through these images. It’s always great to see how dedicated teams like Fire Service Inc. can breathe new life into older vehicles while upgrading them with modern features.
Here are a few photos showcasing the process and final result:

A closer look at the new chassis reveals the strength and durability that comes with the Ford F-450 platform. It's clear this will provide reliable service for years to come.

This shot highlights the interior and exterior craftsmanship of the PL Custom ambulance. The level of detail in both the construction and finish is impressive.

Finally, this rear angle shows off the overall sleekness and functionality of the newly refurbished vehicle. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about enhancing performance and safety.
It’s always inspiring to see how communities can enhance their emergency services through such thorough renovations. Kudos to Chief Tutko and the entire team at Homer Fire District for making this happen! And of course, a huge thanks to Fire Service Inc. for their exceptional work.
