Homer Fire Protection District ambulance refurb

I just wanted to share some exciting news about a recent project we wrapped up here at our facility in St. John, Indiana. A big shoutout goes out to Chief Bob Tutko and the entire team at the Homer Fire District in Homer Glen, Illinois for entrusting us with this amazing project!
The ambulance they received is a refurbished PL Custom model that was mounted onto a brand-new Ford F-450 chassis. It’s always such a rewarding experience to take something older and breathe new life into it, making it fully equipped to serve the community for years to come. Every detail of this transformation was meticulously handled right here in our shop.
To give you a better idea of what we did, I’ve included some photos below. The first image shows the ambulance mounted on the new chassis, while the second and third photos highlight the interior of the PL Custom Type I ambulance. Finally, the last picture gives you a great view of the rear section of the vehicle. Each photo is courtesy of Fire Service, Inc., and really captures the quality and craftsmanship that went into this project.
