Building and Infrastructure Industry Customers Surge to Autodesk in Fourth Quarter

**Public Company Information:** NASDAQ: ADSK **"We are relentlessly pushing forward to deliver the tools and services that empower our customers to fundamentally transform how buildings and infrastructure are conceived and constructed—and it's clear that our customers are embracing these changes."** --- **SAN FRANCISCO – (BUSINESS WIRE)** – For the fiscal quarter ending January 31, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) successfully closed numerous new and expanded agreements across the architecture, engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors. As Building Information Modeling (BIM) continues to gain traction worldwide, businesses within the building and infrastructure industries are increasingly subscribing to Autodesk’s software solutions. In the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) space, Autodesk wrapped up an impressive fiscal year with a strong fourth quarter. Revenue from its AEC product suites surged by 32% year-over-year. The company also recorded several multimillion-dollar deals, including its largest transaction in history. Autodesk BIM 360, which offers cloud-based construction management and jobsite execution services, experienced rapid customer adoption and quickly became one of the company’s fastest-growing products. “As architectural firms, contractors, and engineering companies recognize the transformative power of BIM to enhance nearly every facet of the design and construction process, users of our BIM solutions are witnessing remarkable improvements in productivity, thanks to reduced errors, rework, and costs,” said Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice President of Autodesk’s Information Modeling and Platform Group. “Our cloud and mobile services, in particular, are experiencing a significant uptick in demand because they ensure the value of BIM is accessible anytime, anywhere, whether in the office or on-site.” Among the new and expanded deals secured to provide Autodesk BIM solutions to architectural practices, engineering firms, contractors, and building/infrastructure asset owners are notable clients such as AECOM, Black & Veatch Corporation, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), Fluor, HDR Engineering, Qatar Rail, and PCL Construction, along with many others. Turner Construction Company, one of North America’s leading construction firms, has benefited greatly from Autodesk’s BIM solutions. For instance, they leveraged BIM 360 on an Oakland International Airport renovation project. “Autodesk BIM 360 Glue isn’t just about visualization—it fosters information collaboration and has significantly boosted our efficiency,” said Lincoln Wood from Turner Construction. “The mobile app represents the next frontier in coordinating and communicating with the field. As a contractor, I believe this technology holds immense potential for innovative applications in the field.” In January, the European Union issued a directive to its 28 member states encouraging the use of BIM on public works projects. This aligns with similar BIM mandates already in place in countries like Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the UK, and the U.S. Contractors are now the fastest-growing adopters of BIM, surpassing architects. According to the 2014 McGraw Hill Construction Smart Market Report, contractors anticipate their BIM-related work will increase by an average of 50% over the next two years across major global markets. “There are powerful global forces propelling BIM adoption, and Autodesk stands at the forefront of this business process revolution, helping our customers unlock the full potential of BIM to collaborate, simulate, visualize, and optimize project outcomes,” added Hanspal. “We’re committed to providing the tools and services that allow our customers to dramatically enhance how buildings and infrastructure are designed and built—and it’s evident that our customers are responding enthusiastically.” --- **About Autodesk:** Autodesk empowers people to imagine, design, and create a better world.
