New engine in Norwood Park

Steve Redick recently captured a series of photos of the new Pierce Impel PUC that has been deployed as Engine 101 for the Norwood Park Fire Protection District. These images provide a detailed look at the fire truck's design and features. The vehicle, a 2012 model, is equipped with a 1,500-GPM pump and carries 750 gallons of water, making it well-suited for a variety of emergency responses. The first image showcases the front of Engine 101, highlighting its modern appearance and overall build quality. A second shot offers a side view, focusing on the pump panel and driver’s compartment, giving viewers an idea of how the crew operates the equipment. Another photo zooms in on the pump panel, revealing the intricate controls and systems that are essential during a fire response. Finally, a rear view of the engine shows the chevron markings and the covered hose bed, emphasizing the truck’s functionality and style. All images were taken by Steve Redick, who continues to document the latest developments in local fire apparatus. His work provides valuable insight into the tools that keep our communities safe.
