In the first half of this year, China's petrochemical machinery production maintained steady growth.

In the first half of this year, China's machinery sector continued to show strong and stable growth. From January to July, both production and sales in the machinery industry remained robust. The total industrial output value reached 294.451 billion yuan, marking a 29.47% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, the total sales value amounted to 2,853.33 billion yuan, reflecting a 29.02% growth compared to the same period last year. According to a recent report from the China Federation of Machinery Industry, seven out of the 13 major sectors within the machinery industry saw output growth exceeding 29% during the first seven months of the year. These include the agricultural machinery, construction machinery, machine tool, electrical appliance, general basic components, food and packaging machinery, and automobile industries. Notably, the construction machinery and automobile sectors, which were significantly affected by macroeconomic control policies early last year, have made a strong recovery this year, with growth rates surpassing 30%. With increasing government investment in petrochemicals, environmental protection, and urban infrastructure, demand for related equipment has surged. The report highlights that special equipment for the petrochemical industry rose by 131.64% year-on-year, while water pollution control equipment increased by 78.36%, and noise and vibration control equipment grew by 76.12%. These figures reflect the strong momentum in green and industrial development. Power generation equipment also maintained steady growth, with a cumulative increase of 29.12% from January to July. This represents a slight improvement over the previous month’s performance. Meanwhile, automobile production continued its rapid expansion. A total of 4.4262 million vehicles were produced between January and July, up 25.27% year-on-year. Among these, passenger cars totaled 2.32 million units, showing a remarkable 47.27% increase, making them the fastest-growing segment in the automotive market.
