In the first half of this year, China's petrochemical machinery production maintained steady growth.

In the first half of this year, China's machinery sector continued to show steady growth. From January to July, both production and sales within the industry remained strong. The total industrial output value reached 294.451 billion yuan, reflecting a 29.47% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, total sales revenue amounted to 2,853.33 billion yuan, marking a 29.02% rise compared to the same period last year. According to a recent report by the China Federation of Machinery Industry, seven out of the 13 major machinery sectors experienced growth rates exceeding 29% during the first seven months of the year. These include the agricultural machinery, engineering machinery, machine tool, electrical equipment, general basic components, food and packaging machinery, and automotive industries. Notably, the construction machinery and automotive sectors—both of which were significantly affected by macroeconomic policies early last year—have seen a robust recovery, with growth rates surpassing 30%. As the government continues to boost investments in petrochemicals, environmental protection, and urban infrastructure, related equipment and products have experienced rapid growth. According to the report, special equipment for the petrochemical industry saw a remarkable 131.64% year-on-year increase, while water pollution control equipment rose by 78.36%. Noise and vibration control equipment also grew by 76.12%, highlighting the expanding demand in environmental sectors. Power generation equipment maintained a stable upward trend, with a cumulative growth of 29.12% from January to July. The auto manufacturing sector also remained strong, with a total of 4.4262 million vehicles produced during the period—an increase of 25.27% compared to the previous year. Among these, passenger car production reached 2.32 million units, showing a more than 47% year-on-year growth, making it the fastest-growing segment among all vehicle types.
