Lockport 2-11 11/1/10

The Lockport Township Fire Protection District activated a second alarm MABAS box today in response to a structure fire at a shopping center located on Theodore Street near Plainfield Road. The fire was reported in the end unit of the center, which is currently undergoing renovations. This location previously housed an Eagle Super Market. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the scene, with Darien-Woodridge FPD Lieutenant Jim Skrabel being nearby and capturing several photos from the incident.

The situation remains under control, but due to the ongoing construction and limited access, crews are working carefully to ensure the safety of both residents and responders. No injuries have been reported at this time.
