Additionally, the company developed a new high-speed laser drilling machine, capable of achieving high precision in single-hole drilling and double-sided penetration, providing a solid foundation for large-scale production of osmotic pump tablets.
In September 2002, Beijing Zhong Hui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received a new drug certificate and production approval from the State Drug Administration for its salbutamol sulfate osmotic pump tablets. The company is currently constructing a controlled-release preparation production base in the Yongfeng High-tech Industrial Zone of Zhongguancun Science Park, with plans to complete the facility by June 2003. Once operational, this project will fill a gap in the domestic osmotic pump technology industry and generate substantial social and economic benefits.

The development of highly suspended single-chamber single-layer osmotic pump technology for insoluble drugs has reached international standards. Experts recommended that the government and social funds support further development of the osmotic pump technology platform, especially in combination with traditional Chinese medicine, to advance slow-controlled release formulations.
