On the morning following the fire on Oak Street in Evanston, Tim Olk returned to the scene to capture a series of images that highlighted the aftermath and challenges faced by firefighters. One image shows the devastation from street level, emphasizing how the upper floors and steep roofline, combined with the building's setback from the street, made it difficult for the elevated master stream to reach the fire effectively. The truck returned the next day to check for any rekindle inside the structure, as the unit was scheduled for replacement soon with a new Pierce TDA model.
Evanston Engine 24 was also seen back at the scene the following morning, continuing its efforts to manage the situation.
