Autodesk Workshop XR Delivers Immersive Design Review Experience for the AEC Industry
Autodesk Workshop XR is an immersive design review environment tailored for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. This innovative tool, integrated with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), allows teams to collaborate in real-time on 3D models, enhancing decision-making and reducing project costs. It was introduced at Autodesk University, a major event focused on design and construction innovation.
"Workshop XR will transform how architects and building engineers plan and review projects," said Nicolas Fonta, senior director & general manager, XR at Autodesk. We’ve heard many customers share the challenges of reviewing designs across dispersed teams."
Designed to streamline collaboration, Workshop XR connects AEC teams to ACC, enabling them to track issues, catch errors, and gain better spatial understanding—all without the need for complex model preparation. The platform supports real-time interaction at a 1:1 scale, allowing users to walk through models and visualize how their designs will translate into the real world.
This solution is available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3 headsets, offering a seamless experience for teams working remotely or on-site. By reducing rework and travel costs, it helps companies improve efficiency and sustainability.
